Lots of ‘us’ time
I’m on vacation the next two weeks! We’ll be doing a lot of: sleeping in, practicing rolling over, working on our screeches, snuggling during nap time, and smiling a lot. Here’s some of my favorites from the last couple of weeks:
Respected. Knowledgable. Partner.
I’m on vacation the next two weeks! We’ll be doing a lot of: sleeping in, practicing rolling over, working on our screeches, snuggling during nap time, and smiling a lot. Here’s some of my favorites from the last couple of weeks:
Talking on a regular basis. Squealing with delight when he’s happy. Aunt Cressant got him to laugh on Thanksgiving day. It was a throaty, breathing sound but the anticipation of tickles was too much to handle. Since then he’s done it a couple other times. Wearing 6 month clothes pretty much exclusively, unless we need a … Continue reading Four months
Over the last week, Maximus has found interest in his feet. I mean his hands have found his feet to be quite interesting! On Tuesday morning, he was laying on the changing table and had his legs up in the air. (One of his favorite positions.) His legs went a little closer to his head … Continue reading I have feet!
Tonight was full of more firsts. A couple weeks ago I decided it was time to take the infant insert out of the bath. Sometime over the weeks of 8 to 12, Maximus had out grown his infant bath. Laying next to me was a bright, blue-eyed angel. On the face of an angel rested one dimple on his right cheek. With blue eyes staring up at … Continue reading Smiles and snuggles
A lot happens in two months. Think about everything that has happened to you in the last two months. Two months is most of a summer. In the span of two months I had a newborn turn into a baby. He went from not responding to voices or faces to following someone in a room. … Continue reading Two months old
For most college’s, opening football season is this Saturday. For Iowa State University, it’s the Thursday before. They started this tradition a few years ago and it works out pretty well. The fans enjoy a fall night game before the long holiday weekend. Attendance doesn’t waiver too much even though most attendees have to drive … Continue reading College football!
The post where I get real honest with you about pregnancy and the birth of a child. The first trimester of pregnancy pretty much sucks. I was fortunate to not get sick, but I nauseous. I was hungry 24/7 but couldn’t make myself eat the good stuff. One bite of chicken or broccoli and I … Continue reading Honesty
