Life has been hectic. I basically traveled October away. When I was home I was doing laundry and cleaning the house. I only cooked one real meal during the month and it was when Bryan was at a football game. Maximus loved it enough for both of them and requested seconds. Of course he refused to eat any leftovers the next few days. Whatever, toddler, whatever!
I’ve finally gotten my bearings again and feel like life has gotten back to a normal routine. Of course it’s just in time for me to start to get anxious about the ticking clock that is constantly in my head. I’m in a pretty good spot at work and at home, but there is a constant list of things flying through my head day and night. I’m trying to get into full nesting zone so I can knock some long overdue items off my list. Unfortunately, I just don’t think I’m the cleaning nester. My body just doesn’t agree with the idea. At the end of the day my back is screaming mad and my eye lids are heavy. I have pushed myself and accomplished a few items, but I’m no where near the craziness level I’d like to be! 🙂 I’m trying to motivate myself with lists of things to do these last two months, but most of the items are for my husband. {Maybe I’ll have better success at being a crazy honey do giver!}
I’m super happy to report that yesterday the nursery was painted! Bless his heart, my husband took vacation and painted the nursery and the boys’ bathroom. He spent the whole day painting, two coats in each room. Of course they aren’t the same color so he had to clean his brush and rollers a few times. I’m so thankful for his painting expertise! I know lots of people can paint, but he has experience as a professional painter. That means he’s a perfectionist to the extreme! You won’t find a wall in this house that has been painted by me. Unfortunately you also won’t find the original walls to be painted per his high expectations. Hopefully before LBL 2.0 comes that original painting will be minimal. 🙂
If you’re keeping track, I’m about six weeks away from having little brother. That also means you better get started on your Christmas shopping! 🙂
