I’m all about being honest on this blog, right? Well, I don’t actually have anything to talk about today. No, I do have things to talk about but they don’t relate to the pictures that I have to show you. How about an update on bath time? Not that interesting, I know. BUT, it’s why you’re reading this!
Maximus gets 2-3 baths a week. I know all babies have dry skin but this mama is also blessed with dry skin. In the winter I lather myself up with baby lotion. What, you say. That’s right, I use baby lotion. Always have. But actually, Maximus and I use different flavors. (Flavors?) He uses lavender and I use regular. Or something along those lines. My bottle is pink and his is white with purple writing. Anyway, dry skin year round for this lady. So, to prevent Maximus from having really dry skin, and because he doesn’t DO ANYTHING, he has a couple of baths a week. Never more, sometimes less, which really means we got too busy and he only had one.
The little dude is really getting into bath time lately. Kicking his chubby legs and splashing water all over the counter, floor, and me. He’s loving it! As you all know, he loves holding things. So, he’s into holding on to the wash rag, rubber ducky, or water-cup-turtle-thing that we use to rinse him off with. We have yet to have a meltdown during bath time because 1.) he’s a calm little dude and 2.) bath time is fun, y’all.
On a rare occurrence, Maximus sits back and relaxes during bath time. He’s all, I’ve had a rough day mommy. I completely get it Maximus. I know it’s hard work to smile at everyone who talks to you, suck on your hands endlessly, pull people’s hair, roll over, squeal at the top of your lungs, and try to suck on people’s faces. HARD.WORK.MAN. I get it, I really do.

I don’t bathe Lily everyday either. Winter is too much for that. Her cheeks tend to get dry easily, I’ve noticed.

I’m thankful that he doesn’t need the same bedtime routine to fall asleep. He’s tired if he has or doesn’t have a bath!
His hands crack me up! He’s like a little old man; always holding them or laying on them.
