No easy solution

When the pants in your closet don’t fit, the mall isn’t the solution. I learned that tonight. I’m struggling an inner battle of not buying maternity pants, regardless of how comfortable people say they are. Because of this mindset, I headed out to the mall tonight to buy “a size up.” The first mistake I made was heading to the junior section of a department store. When that didn’t work, I bought a pair of leggings and decided I’d wear them until they were out of style! Next, I went to one of my favorite stores. I found some pants that fit but they didn’t give me much room to grow. When you don’t know what the next five months bring, that’s a pretty big leap of faith. So, I walked out with one pair that hopefully will last a couple of weeks and be a good pair for when I go back to work after maternity leave. I also found a great skirt with a stretchy waistband that will probably be a favorite of mine when the weather gets warm.  And, when you leave a little bummed out…phone a friend! Find one who is similar in sizes who can loan you some stuff to wear for a couple of weeks.

I hope they work for you! I have 4 pairs of pants and a couple of empire waist shirts I found in my closet! See, I knew there was a reason I kept that stuff around. 🙂

    1. Either way, I appreciate the effort! It’s so difficult when I don’t know what to expect.

Have you heard of Bella Bands? My friend Britney used them – you may want to look them up. Apparently they make it so you can wear your dress pants and jeans longer. Just an idea! 🙂

    1. I’ve heard of them, but no one has ever talked to me about them. I’ll have to look into it. Thanks, Sara!
